Cannondale Carbon Lefty Suspension Fork Recall

Cannondale is voluntarily recalling 367 Carbon Lefty suspension forks. If you think you may have an affected fork, stop using it immediately! This bicycle fork can break, causing loss of control and possibly serious injury or death.

These single-sided suspension forks (see photo) were sold between December 2000 through June 2001 on the following 2001 Cannondale models: The F4000 SL, Jekyll 4000 SL, Raven 4000 SL. They were also sold separately. Note that all forks made prior to May 31 are subject to this recall.

Consumers should stop using these forks immediately and return them to us or a Cannondale retailer to arrange to have them rebuilt and upgraded at no charge. To determine if your fork is subject to recall, and for more information, call Cannondale toll-free at 800-BIKE-USA between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday, 10 to 6 on Saturday and 1 to 5 on Sunday.
