Haro Backtrail X0 and F2 Recall

Haro Bicycle is voluntarily recalling their 2003 F2 and the Backtrail XO BMX freestyle bicycles. If you own an affected bike, stop using it immediately! The length of the crankarms in the 2003 model fails to allow sufficient space between the rider's foot and the front wheel, when the front wheel is turned backwards. The rider's foot could come in contact with the front wheel, causing the rider to lose control, fall and possibly suffer serious injury. Haro has not received any reports of incidents or injuries. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.

The recalled models are the 2003 F2 and the Backtrail XO. The model names are printed on the top and down tubes of the F2, and on the top tube of the Backtrail XO. Bicycle shops nationwide sold these bicycles from May 2002 through August 2002. Contact us to have the crankset replaced free of charge.

For more information, you can contact us or call Haro toll-free at (800) 289-4276 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
